SETUP

A good first run

The app walks you through everything once: sign in, accept the terms, confirm your profile, and check that its browser starts. Do this properly and later applications have far fewer stops.

Before you start

This is a development preview Features and wording can change between builds. Install updates from the account menu, or read the download page for the current build.

1. Sign in

The first screen asks you to sign in. The same options are there for everyone:

Sign-in opens in a browser sheet. When it finishes, the app suggests the name and email from your account. Those are only suggestions; they still need your review on the Profile screen.

2. Accept the terms

After sign-in, the terms screen asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older and in the United States, then to accept the terms and policies. These are real checkboxes; both are required.

If a checkbox does not respond Make sure you click the checkbox itself or its label, not the card around it. If the wall still blocks you on macOS 14 or 15, use the support link at the bottom of the page rather than retrying for a long time.

3. Finish the setup screen

The setup screen lists what has to be ready before the first application. Its left column has three rows:

SETUP · LEFT COLUMN

Terms accepted

Already done. Select the row to read the terms and policies you accepted.

SETUP · LEFT COLUMN

Your profile

A résumé import or Fill in by hand opens the Profile screen. Go through its sections with Next, tick the confirmation, and choose Finish profile.

Application browser

The app starts its own Chromium browser to check it works on this Mac. If the check fails, choose Try again and read the message.

When every step is ready, Finish setup opens the main window. There is no model step in setup: everyone starts on the Default model. Choosing another model lives in Settings, and is optional.

4. Confirm your profile

The Profile screen is the most important screen in the app. Applications are filled from it, and tailored documents are written from it. You can import and edit later, but the first confirmation sets the baseline.

  1. Import your résumé, or start from a blank profile

Use Import resume… at the top of Profile. A PDF, text, JSON, or YAML file is accepted. What the import finds are suggestions, not confirmed facts.

  2. Review every section

The left list shows what is done and what still needs attention: Basics, Resume, About and skills, Experience, Education, Projects, Work you want, Work authorization, Screening answers, Equal opportunity, Saved answers, and Advanced.

  3. Fill in what applications always ask for

At minimum: name, email, phone, city, country, work authorization, and sponsorship. Add the résumé PDF so it can be attached.

  4. Tick the confirmation

At the bottom of the window: I have reviewed these facts and confirm they are accurate. Until you tick it, what you typed is kept as a draft and applications cannot use it.

There is no Save button. Edits save after a short pause. The status line at the top of Profile always says where you stand: Kept as a draft, Saving…, Confirmed and saved, or Not confirmed yet.

5. Send your first application

  1. Paste a job link

Go to Queue, put the link in Job URL, and choose Add to queue. The app reads the posting first. If the link is not a supported ATS, it says so by name.

  2. Start the queue

In the bottom bar, press Start applying. The job moves into Applying now. One application runs at a time.

  3. Answer anything that needs you

If the app cannot fill a field confidently, it stops and adds an entry to Needs you. Answer the question, save it, and the application goes back into the queue.

  4. Review and submit

The first three applications wait for your review. In Needs you, open the job, read the answers and documents, then press Submit application. Nothing is sent until you do.

  5. Check History

History shows the application, its stage, what was sent, the confirmation page if one was captured, and the timeline of emails.

Try it without touching a real employer

The Queue has a Practice menu at the top of the page. Try the Practice Application adds one made-up job; Queue All Five Practice Jobs adds five. They use the same screens and the same filling logic, but nothing is sent anywhere. History labels them as practice.

Do this before a real application A practice run is the quickest way to see how approvals, questions, and History behave. It also proves the browser starts correctly on your Mac.
