YOUR APPLICATIONS

Queue

Add a job, put it in order, and let the app work through it one at a time. The Queue screen is also where you watch an application being filled and open its documents.

Add a job

Paste a link into Job URL at the top of Queue and press Add to queue. The app reads the posting before it queues anything, so the title and company are real, not guessed from the URL.

Accepted
Greenhouse and Ashby job links, or a company careers-page link that leads to one of them.
Rejected
Other applicant-tracking systems, including Lever and Workday. The app names the system it found.
Needs first
A confirmed profile. If yours is not confirmed, the page says so and offers Review and confirm profile.

If you want a document rather than an application, the line under the field has Resume, Cover letter, and Email. Those draft from the link without adding it to the queue.

What the lists mean

QUEUE · SECTION

Applying now

The job the app is working on. It shows a progress bar, an estimate of the time left, and the current step in plain words. Only one job is here at a time.

QUEUE · SECTION

Waiting for you

Jobs stopped on a question, a decision, or a review. Open takes you straight to the right entry in Needs you.

QUEUE · SECTION

Up next

Jobs that are ready to run, in order. These reorder by drag or Control-click. The row shows the title, company, and current state.

QUEUE · SECTION

Stopped

Jobs that did not finish. The state says why. Some can be retried; some need you to check something first. Remove one with the ×; it stays in History.

QUEUE · SECTION

Sent today

Applications that went out today. The link at the bottom opens the full record in History.

Select a job

Click any row to open its panel on the right. The panel has four parts:

Drafts open in a preview sheet where you can edit the wording, save a new version, bookmark it, or export text or PDF. Editing never changes the original file attached to the application.

Change the order

Drag any job in Up next onto another to take its place. Or Control-click a row for Move to Top, Move Up, and Move Down. The app runs them in the order shown. The queue-menu at the top of the list also has Retry Stopped Applications (only for jobs that certainly did not send), Remove Waiting Jobs, and Refresh.

Start, pause, stop

The bottom bar is on every screen.

The three transport controls.
ControlWhat it does
Start applying / ResumeStarts the first ready job. If nothing is waiting, the button is disabled and says why.
Stop after this oneFinishes the application in hand, then stops. The rest stay in the queue.
PauseStops now. An application that has not been submitted yet waits until you start again.

Pause and Stop after this one hold across launches until you press Start again. The app never undoes a pause behind your back, including when auto-start is on.

Keep the Mac awake and the app open while applications run. Closing the lid or quitting stops browser work; the menu bar's Quit and stop browser work pauses first.

Approval and warm-up

The right side of the bottom bar controls what happens when an application is complete:

Wait for my approval

Every application stops at Ready for your review. Check the answers and documents in Needs you, then press Submit application. Nothing is sent before that.

Submit it for me

Complete applications are sent automatically. Anything uncertain, or with a new tailored document, still waits for you. This is the app's autopilot.

Warm-up comes first Even with autopilot on, your first three verified submissions wait for your approval. The bar shows Warm-up 1 of 3 until they are done. After that, autopilot can submit complete applications.

The same popover has Show the browser while applying. Turn it on if you want to watch the form being filled. It is off by default.

Starting by itself

In Settings → Automation, Start the queue by itself is on by default. Once you have not clicked or typed in Job Applicator for the configured time (five minutes by default), the queue starts if a job is ready.

Turn it off in Settings if you want to press Start yourself every time.

When the model is unavailable

If the chosen model stops answering, a calm banner appears above the bottom bar. It says what happened and when the queue will try again. Open Settings takes you to the model connection so you can switch providers or check the key. No question is asked of you; waiting is a normal state, not an error.

Practice

The Practice menu at the top of Queue adds made-up jobs on the app's own practice site:

They use the real queue, the real filling logic, and the real review screens, but nothing is sent to an employer. History marks them as practice, and they do not count as applications added.

If a job stops

Open Needs you. The entry under Check explains what happened and offers the right next step:
