Profile

The one place every application is filled from. Get the facts right here and the app stops asking the same questions; leave something out and it will ask once, mid-application.

Saving and confirming

There is no Save button. Typing is saved after a short pause, when you change section, when the window closes, and when you quit. The status line at the top always says which state you are in:

StatusWhat it means
Saving…An edit is on its way to the worker.
Kept as a draft until confirmedSaved locally, but applications cannot use it yet.
Confirmed and savedApplications use these facts.
Not confirmed yetThe facts are saved but the confirmation box is unticked.
Not saved: …A save failed. The reason and Try again are beside it.

Confirm with I have reviewed these facts and confirm they are accurate at the bottom of the window. Once confirmed, later edits are saved as confirmed changes. If you want to go back to the last confirmed version, use Discard in the save bar.

Confirmation is not a formality The app treats this as your statement that the facts are correct. Legal and eligibility answers are never invented; they come from here or from you answering in Needs you.

The sections

The left list has every section and a short status: ✓ when it has what applications need, a count of entries, or a warning like 3 to fill.

PROFILE · BASICS

Contact, links and location

Full name, first and last name, email, phone, preferred first name, LinkedIn, GitHub, X, portfolio, website, other links, street address, city, state or region, postal code, and country. Other links go one per line. You can leave out https://; it is added on save.

PROFILE · RESUME

Resume

Import a PDF, text, JSON, or YAML résumé. The PDF is what gets attached. If tailored resumes are on, the app builds a one-page version from your experience lines and projects; the section says whether tailoring is on and what is missing if it is off.

PROFILE · ABOUT AND SKILLS

About you and skills

A short summary in your own words, plus skills one row per line. Group them as on your résumé, such as Languages: Python, Go. Tailored resumes keep your groups.

PROFILE · EXPERIENCE

Work experience

Add a role with title, company, location, start and end dates, current-role toggle, and a description. Below the roles are two fields applications depend on:

  • Other companies you've worked for. Every employer not in the work history, including internships, contracts, and part-time jobs. Forms often ask “Have you worked for us before?”.
  • My work history and this list include every company I've ever worked for. When ticked, the app answers Yes for listed companies and No for everything else. When unticked, it asks the first time instead of answering No.

Certifications and languages are also here, one per line.

PROFILE · EDUCATION

Education

School, degree, field of study, location, start and end dates, and GPA. Graduation date and GPA are read from here when a form asks.

PROFILE · PROJECTS

Projects

Side projects, hackathons, and coursework, including ones your résumé leaves out. Each has a name, optional link, technologies, and a description with one point per line. Jobs are matched against all projects; a tailored résumé shows the few that fit.

PROFILE · WORK YOU WANT

Kinds of work and places

Role interests, willingness to relocate, how you want to work (remote, hybrid, on-site), commuting areas, desired salary, and earliest start date or notice period. The optional salary and start fields make those questions answerable.

PROFILE · WORK AUTHORIZATION

Work authorization and agreements

Citizenship or residency, visa status when relevant, authorization to work, need for sponsorship, screening questions, non-compete details, accuracy confirmation, and privacy-notice acknowledgement.

“Authorized to work without employer support” is answered Yes when you are authorized now, even if you will need sponsorship later; the sponsorship question uses the second answer. Background checks, arbitration, and employer-specific agreements still need your review on each application.

PROFILE · SCREENING ANSWERS

Common screening answers

Questions many employers ask: academic honors, whether SMS or WhatsApp contact is okay, how you heard about jobs, and pronouns. GPA, graduation date, and internships come from Education and Experience, not here.

PROFILE · EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

Voluntary self-identification

Optional US equal-opportunity questions. Every answer can be left as Prefer not to say. These answers are never used to find or rank jobs.

PROFILE · SAVED ANSWERS

Saved answers

The library of questions you answered once when an application asked. You can edit or delete any of them, and the change applies everywhere. Answers given in Needs you end up here.

PROFILE · ADVANCED

Advanced profile JSON

The whole profile as JSON, including fields the guided screens do not show. Unknown answers can stay null. This is for precise edits and imports; if the JSON is invalid, the app says so and does not save it.

Facts that matter most

If you only fill in a few things, fill in these. They are the ones that most often stop an application:

Warnings and drafts

Profile shows a warning when a saved field will fill forms badly, and links to the section that needs fixing. It also tells you when a draft was restored after a crash or restart, which sections it changes, and offers Discard them.

Import results are suggestions. The app shows the evidence it found and any gaps it noticed; nothing becomes confirmed until you review it and tick the confirmation.

Changing a fact later Edit Profile and it saves as you type. Already-sent applications keep the answers they were sent with; History shows what was actually sent. Future applications use the new value.
