EVERY APPLICATION
History
Every application, every stage, and the evidence behind each move. History is where you check what was actually sent, read company replies, and find documents that are not tied to a job.
Search and views
The top of History has a search field and a List / Board switch.
Search
Matches a job title or company name, ignoring case. It searches the applications in the current filter, not every saved document.
List or Board
List is a compact row per application. Board arranges the same applications into columns by stage, like a pipeline. Both open the same detail panel.
The ⋯ menu has Check Email Now, which reads replies immediately instead of waiting for the 30-minute background check. It is disabled when email tracking is off.
Stages and filters
The chips under the search field filter by stage and show how many applications each filter would show.
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Preparing | In the queue, not sent yet. |
| Needs attention | Stopped and waiting on you, or a result that is not certain. |
| Not applied | Not submitted, and you are not pursuing it. |
| Applied | Submitted. This is the normal starting point after a send. |
| Online assessment | The company sent an assessment. |
| Interview | An interview is scheduled or in progress. |
| Offer | An offer was received. |
| Hired | You accepted or started. |
| Rejected | The company declined. |
| Withdrawn | You withdrew. |
Active is everything not closed. All includes closed applications. Closed is only rejected, withdrawn, and not applied. Drafts appears only when there are standalone documents.
Within a stage, the most urgent comes first: offer, interview, assessment, needs attention, applied, hired, preparing, not applied, rejected, withdrawn. Equal stages sort by the most recent change.
The detail panel
Select an application to open the panel on the right. It contains everything the app knows about that application:
Stage and note
Change the stage with the picker. Emails can move an application forward, but they never move it backward. Add a short note for yourself; the note appears under the job title in the list.
Timeline
Each change with its source: You, From email: subject — sender, or Job Applicator. Where a change came from an email, Undo puts the stage back.
What was sent
The answers captured during the application. A value the app guessed is marked, so you can check it against the live form. Select the disclosure to see the full list.
Documents
The tailored résumé and cover letter used for this application, with Open PDF for each. A file in use by a running job cannot be deleted until that job finishes.
Confirmation page
If the app captured a screenshot after Submit, it appears here, with the filled form values. The app's own note says to verify those values against the live form. Treat a screenshot as evidence, not proof.
Email tracking
When Gmail is connected with read permission and Settings → Mail → Track application status from email is on, the app reads messages from companies you applied to and moves the matching application along. It runs quietly when the account opens, then about every 30 minutes.
- Replies only move an application forward, never backward.
- The line under the search field says when email was last checked, or why it is off.
- Check Email Now runs the same check on demand.
- Each likely update uses your model. Turn tracking off in Settings to save model usage.
Drafts
The Drafts filter lists documents that are not tied to an application: cover letters and emails you wrote from the Queue. Each edit creates a new version, and the original is kept.
- Preview & edit opens the document.
- Open PDF opens the exported file.
- The trash button deletes the document and every version of it.
Practice applications
Practice jobs appear in History with a graduation-cap label and the stage Practiced. They are not real applications and do not count as applications added. Their timeline still works, so you can see how the app records a run.
Deleting things
The trash button on a document asks for confirmation and cannot be undone. Deleting a document does not delete the application record. Applications you already sent keep their history.
The account menu's Sign Out keeps the workspace on this Mac. Removing the app or clearing account data is a separate action; see the privacy notice before you rely on uninstalling to delete anything.
